The shop "Espacios" along with the Museo de Arte de Queretaro called for designing chests of drawers in order to share ideas among 16 designers and architects. There were no restrictions for the design of the furniture, so each is unique in its approach to the problem. The chests of drawers were exhibited in the museum during the month of July 2009.

Last month, the Spanish TV program “Madrid Directo” did an interview which shows the new collection of products “Nice ‘n Easy” designed for the well being; which were presented at the Milan Furniture Fair last April.

G-led participated in the Habitat Fair in the stand +DISEÑO, organized by Galeria Mexicana de Diseño; where the new products were presented for the first time in Mexico. 

Last May Victor G. M. gave a lecture at the University La Salle in Leon, Guanajuato. The title of the lecture was “Scientific research in industrial design” in which were shown the latest developments in the new biodegradable materials research made at the Tecnologico de Monterrey campus Queretaro.

The presentation of our new collection "nice 'n easy" and the exhibition "desigM con M de Madrid", were a great success!!

G-led will be present at Superstudio Più in the space "desigm con m de madrid", which presents the best of Madrid's design. At the same time we will be at the Salone Satellite (stand D11, 22-24 pavilion) presenting our new product collection "nice n' easy".

During March and April 2009, G-led presents, in Madrid and Milan respectively, the new product collection “nice 'n easy”: fun and different, centred in new material development, wellness and simplicity.

Casa Pasarela ´09 continues with Abecedario - Designers Market Project: place for the promotion of designers and groups from different sectors related to design. This new project is supported by spaces such as Huellas, dedicated to display a selection of the best national young design, where there’ll be room for schools and editing companies.

Doctor Responsible's Christmas Recipe Book is an activity and exhibition about responsible consumption. Being responsible is being informed about the origin of the products that we buy in order to avoid exploitation, degradation and pollution of the environment.

The objective of this activity is to teach people some easy, kind and tolerant recipes in order to avoid consumerism and compulsive shopping. G-led did a series of workshops using common waste materials to transform them into new things to use at home. We made several objects out of recycled materials to show as example in the exhibition, we showed as well as our macel Tulipan lamp.

Educando is a cooperative society dedicated to environmental education design and project development. Their area of expertise is environmental education, awareness and communication; heritage interpretation and social intervention.

Our team member Víctor Martínez has been invited as speaker in the Month of Design Conference in Ljubljiana, Slovenia. This year, the Month of Design Conference offers a venue for interdisciplinary dialogue on the role of design in the contemporary world, focusing on the experience as a body/object, as a place and as a concept/mind. Víctor's conference is entitled Human Nature and goes over themes like greed, short-term vision and the role of industrial designers in these negative attitudes as well as their responsibility for bettering the quality of life, achieving social equity or increasing knowledge.

Among our most important activities, we participate in important design events. LED and coleagues Efrain E. Velez, Danitza Palma, Artaceramica and Hunpel took part at the Salone Satellite 2008. The red dot award: design concept opens the window to the future. It provides us with an indication of future trends, innovations and designs. It affirms today’s leaders in the field of design and more importantly identifies emerging talents and companies who are certain to make significant contributions in shaping our evolving future.

Our team member Víctor Martínez submited, after two years of work, his concept for a steering wheel Nøloos in the Mobility category. The awarding ceremony took place at the Red Dot Museum in Singapore. Nøloos is a steering wheel that takes basic ergonomics and safety into consideration in a new way. The Red dot is a seal, a mark of excellence, sends a strong and indisputable signal that demands attention to both the design concept and designer.

We were invited to give a lecture at the Institue of Higher Education Antonio Calvín de Almagro (Ciudad Rea, Spainl). The goal was to get designers and future wood and furniture technitians to meet.

The given example was the lounge chair Norka, a piece of furniture designed for being transported and easily assembled (and disassembled) by the end user without need of screws or glue.

There was a very interesting and lively dialog among the participants and designers and manufactureres met each other understanding their roles, which happen to be complementary in the production process.

LED chooses Valencia to LED make its first international appearance in the world of design. The Experimental Lab of Design (Laboratorio Experimental de Diseño), g-led, successfully debuted at NuDE (Nuevo Diseño Español) in the International Furniture Fair in Valencia (Spain), showing some products and experiments, displaying its methodology and design phylosophy.
